Project Description

CK May Excavating spearheaded the transformation of the intersection at N. 7th Ave. and Griffin Drive in Bozeman, earning recognition for its outstanding work with the 2023 MCA Highway Excellence Award for "Best Reconstruction of an Urban/City Project." Tasked with enhancing the functionality and safety of the intersection, CK May Excavating orchestrated a comprehensive overhaul. The project encompassed the construction of new turn lanes to streamline traffic flow, alongside the implementation of durable concrete pavement to withstand heavy usage. Ensuring inclusivity, ADA-compliant sidewalks were installed, accompanied by bicycle accommodations to promote alternative modes of transportation. The meticulous attention to detail extended to the installation of curb, gutter, and storm drainage systems, safeguarding against water accumulation and erosion. Furthermore, the integration of traffic signals and lighting elements enhanced visibility and safety for all road users, exemplifying CK May Excavating's commitment to excellence in urban infrastructure development.
